Situated in the Old High Street of Boscastle in the upper
part of the village, Fuschia cottage is a traditional stone cottage dating
back to the 17th century. It has retained many original features including
beamed ceilings, fireplace and cloam oven.
There are window seats in all the rooms which provide beautiful
views over the village and of the sea.
The accommodation sleeps 4 and comprises;
Ground Floor.
Entrance porch leading to open plan living space.
Lounge area - traditional stone fireplace with grate for
log fires. There are two cosy leather sofas, a TV / DVD player and Radio
/ CD player.
Kitchen / Dining area - Well equipped with microwave,
fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and electric cooker.
Oak veneered dining table and chairs.
First Floor.
Landing leading to two bedrooms, one double and one twin.
The bathroom has a bath, power shower, WC and wash hand basin.
The pretty garden is crazy paved with various planted shrubs
and flowering plants and provides a great seating and barbeque area from
where you can enjoy some magnificent sea and coastline views. A barbeque
and garden table and chairs are provided.
Leaving the cottage the 16th century Napoleon Inn is close
by and offers excellent food, the picturesque Elizabethan harbour of Boscastle,
and rugged coastline are just a short walk away where a number of shops
are located together with a selection of good restaurants, pubs and tea
rooms. Returning to the cottage is uphill.
Location
Boscastle is close to Tintagel (King Arthur's Castle) and
is an ideal base to explore the rugged North Cornwall coastal path and
the popular surfing and bathing beaches, together with other places of
interest such as the Eden project.
