Smaller room but with good size en-suite with larger shower. £65 per room per night to include breakfast. ROOM 5. Super king size double or twin room. Good size room with En-suite shower room.£70 per room per night to include breakfast. ROOM 6. Single room. Good size single with a compact En-suite shower room.£35 per room per night to include breakfast. ROOM 7. Super king size double or twin room with private adjacent shower room.£65 per room per night to include breakfast. There is a £2.50 per person surcharge for one night stays and a £15 surcharge for single occupancy of a double or twin room. Children over 14 charged at adult rates. Glenfeadon House is a lovely Grade II listed Georgian House, set in 1.5 acres of wooded gardens. The house, built in 1827 by Lord Basset is now a family run guest house.

Very peaceful and tranquil spot, yet only a 5 min level walk to the beach, harbour, shops, pubs, restaurants and the ever popular coastal path walks. Portreath is an ideal base from which to explore Cornwall.

St. Ives and the Tate Gallery 15 miles. The world famous Eden Project and Helligan gardens 32 miles. Tehidy Country Park and its world class golf course 1 mile. Newquay 18 miles and wonderful surfing at Gwithian beach, 6 miles. Come and see how good Portreath is, we love it.

Rooms

We offer seven newly refurbished for 2008 letting rooms. All en-suite except one with private bathroom. All rooms are centrally heated and equipped with TV, Tea and coffee, hairdryer etc.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in the dining room between 8am and 9.30 am. We have one table per room so everyone can relax and enjoy their meal. We offer a varied menu including full English, Vegetarian or Continental to suite your tastes.

We also offer packed lunches if required for your day out. There are a number of very good local pubs and cafe's for your evening meals all within a five min walk.

Gardens

One of the delights of Fountain Springs is its peace and tranquillity and the gardens are no exception.

Guests are welcome to make use of the gardens ( at their own risk ) to sit and read or just explore the 1.5 acres. We have a fish pond with fountain and a small river running through the garden on its way to the sea. Tables and chairs are provided for those summer evenings. Please note the gardens are not open from October to March.

There is ample parking and secure cycle storage.
Fountain Springs is a non-smoking establishment.
