Delightful guest bedrooms and peaceful relaxing living spaces to enjoy.
Glorious sea vista and sea views over fields to the ocean with beautiful sunsets. We have some of the most magical skies at sunset, each one utterly special and unique.
Each room is distinctively quirky and characterful with real attention to detail. The Field House really is a unique and special place to stay.
Take in the relaxed charm and calm of The Field House.
Behind the rather unassuming coastal road façade, you step through the front door into a wonderful little world all of its own. Guests often remark on what a special surprise it is. Like a great big hug from a house. We love our happy home and offer you the warmest of welcomes. Our easy-going atmosphere and genuine wish to whole-heartedly share our home with you is a pleasure. Welcome! Come on in…
Our guests say you can feel that genuine warmth as soon as you arrive. We love that.

Our lovely sea view king room has a great roof top decking for your sole use, over looking fields to the ocean and some fantastic sunsets. This accommodation also has a private adjoining sitting room with large comfy sofa, smart tv/dvd library, full size fridge and coffee machine. Almost a mini suite.
Room 3:
Our super comfy super king offers an extremely comfortable stay. A great big bed, a larger shower room, no sea view in this room but a superb night’s sleep. This room can also be made up as a twin-bedded room.
All our beds are super cosy nests to snuggle down in with cloud bamboo duvets and great pillows. A great night’s sleep is very important to us as we know how important it is to you. All our rooms are en-suite. We really do pride ourselves on thinking of all the little things that make a stay special and memorable.
Our breakfast is great and that too is extremely important to us. We love breakfast at The Field House. We offer a delicious hearty Cornish breakfast each morning in the Garden Room which has sea views. We use as much and as many Cornish ingredients and produce as possible to include great coffee, roasted in St Ives by Foundation Coffee Roasters and luxury tea from the Tregothnan tea estate - tea grown in Cornwall - how special is that?

We have a gorgeous sumptuous guest sitting room, with the biggest most gorgeous sink into velvety sofa we know! A great place to rest and unwind at the end of a great Cornwall day. There’s a cosy wood burner in the late autumn and winter months. Great books to read. A really delightful space and place to unwind and reset.
The Garden Room also has a nice sofa to sit and look at the garden and the sea and hopefully a fine sunset.
We have a charming garden that guests are very welcome to enjoy.
We are very welcoming to our canine doggy guests too. We provide a bed and bowls and towels for muddy paws. We provide a little delicious treat on arrival. £20 per dog. We have dogs so we can even offer a doggy dinner if needed.
We have a gorgeous silver tabby cat named Sylvie. She doesn’t flinch at our doggy guests!
On Sunday and Monday evenings, when the Trewellard Arms pub kitchen is closed, we offer a small dinner menu. This is to be pre booked pre ordered 48 hours in advance please. Do ask for the menu to be sent by email if you’d like to eat with us on a Sunday or Monday evening.
We offer a pack up picnic lunch for those walking the coast or moors or those wishing to take picnic lunch for their day out.
The Field House is situated less than ten minutes walking distance of the South West Coastal path, in the village of Trewellard just a little inland from Levant Mine. Opposite the Trewellard Arm pub. We have field parking at the rear of The Field House, subject to weather conditions and the time of year – muddy gateway when very rainy!
Pendeen, the wider village area, has a rich tin mining history. The Geevor Tin Mine is open to visitors and the Levant Mine Beam Engine is run by the National Trust. Both mines are a very interesting visit.
The Field House is about 6 miles from Penzance, 12 miles from St Ives, 6 miles from Sennen Cove and 7 miles from Land’s End.
Close by is Pendeen Lighthouse, the lovely idyllic and unspoilt Portherras and Boat Coves. Boat Cove has a gorgeous natural rock pool for a dip. We are a short drive or coastal hike from Cape Cornwall, England’s only cape. Cape Cornwall has a sea swim pool.
We have an aga which is excellent at cooking breakfasts but also doubles up as the best boot and gear drying rack ever, a sight to behold adorned with boots, and jackets and backpacks strung up drying overnight! No walker ever leaves with soggy clobber…
