Delabole - near Tintagel & Port Isaac,
North Cornwall
Situated about 2 miles from the coast, near
the village of Delabole on the B3314, there are 16 bungalows set in peaceful
and secluded surroundings on part of our 14 acres, approached by the old
farm lane. You are likely to hear sheep bleating in the neighbouring
fields, or the owl hooting at dusk, and see the rabbits at play in the
early morning.
It is an ideal "get away from it all"
base for a holiday with beautiful sandy beaches and spectacular scenery.
Visitors enjoy exploring and discovering this unspoilt haven of Cornwall.
ACCOMMODATION...
The
bungalows are built in pairs and are of a brick, cavity wall and tiled
roof construction, with panoramic views over looking the Allen Valley.
There is an open plan lounge/kitchen (29ftx9ft approx.), 2 bedrooms (9ftx9ft
approx.) and a small lobby leading to the bathroom and separate toilet.
The kitchen area is equipped with cooker,
fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery and cooking utensils. An immersion heater,
shaver point and electric meter are in the lobby and in the lounge area
a convector fire and colour T.V.
The
bungalow sleeps up to 6 people with one double bed, two single beds and
a double put-u-up settee. Blankets and pillows are provided. Please bring
bed linen, towels and tea towels. A cot is available (no charge) on request.
Electricity is metered (£1 coins). We
regret that dogs are not allowed at Delamere.

Chapman live in the Delamere Cottage on the property.
Outside, there
is plenty of space for the family to relax or play, with paths leading
across the grass from the upper or lower row of bungalows to the car-park.
Delamere was once a farm, and although not
working now, we still have a barn and outbuilding on the property, and
our two large fields are used for grazing.
Delabole village is about half a mile away
and has grocery stores, newsagent, post office, garage, pub and restaurant.
LOCAL AREA...
The
local, sandy beaches are all within an easy drive. Trebarwith Strand,
Polzeath, Rock and Daymer bay are perfect for bathing, surfing, sailing
and playing sandcastles with children.
Delabole itself, has an old slate quarry and
a large wind farm, both of which has visitor centres.
Discover Port Isaac, a quaint fishing village,
Tintagel Castle, Boscastle harbour, or St. Nectans Glen and Waterfall.
Enjoy a round of golf at St. Enodoc, or pony trekking from nearby stables,
a fun way to see the countryside.
