Curlew Cottage is situated in Trevescan, a small rural
hamlet between Sennen and Lands End. It is a traditional detached Cornish
granite cottage set in private, secure grounds with off road parking for
up to 4 cars.
The downstairs of the cottage has a beautifully decorated
light open plan lounge and dining room area with inglenook fireplace and
wood-burner. With two large comfortable sofas, a table that seats six,
TV, DVD player, Hi-fi and selection of books and local maps, it is an
ideal place to relax after a hard day walking, surfing or exploring.
The kitchen is well-equipped for your needs, with a washing
machine/ tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge -freezer, double oven and microwave.
The cottage has one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms,
all of a good size. A cot and a high chair are available. The bathroom
has a double ended roll top bath with shower over. And there is an outdoor
loo for your convenience!
At the back of the cottage is a private, secluded rear
garden with views across open countryside. A shed is available to store
surf boards etc.
About the Area
Trevescan is a tiny hamlet in an Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty in a unique position within a mile of both the North and the South
coast of Cornwall. Both coastlines on the Penwith peninsula are truly
spectacular and awe-inspiring. The coastal walking is second to none.
Nature is at its best here: seals, porpoises, and rare birds are regularly
sighted, and you are spoiled for choice with both easily accessible child-friendly
beaches and quiet secluded beaches reached only by the more intrepid.
From the cottage, a 10 minutes walk across farmland will
take you to the South West coastal path. Alternatively, a 10 minute walks
across fields in the other direction will take you to the top of Sennen.
Sennen Cove, with its expansive, child-friendly, beach, renowned surfing
and excellent beach café is a 3 minute drive.
