Discover
why Porthleven in West Cornwall is becoming so popular. With a harbour
at its centre, it appeals to holidaymakers of all ages, from those
seeking somewhere interesting and relaxing to stay, with spectacular
coastal views and walks, to families with children who enjoy beach
holidays.
Porthleven
is still very much a working village, where fishing is an important
part of local life, and where various artists and craftspeople have
chosen to work, inspired by the scenery and the special Cornish
way of life. There is an excellent selection of pubs, restaurants
and shops, and holidaymakers love to visit the various craft workshops
and galleries.

The
coastal path runs either side of the village and has break-taking
views of the rugged coastline and long beach. In one direction the
cliff path leads to Loe Pool, Cornwall's largest freshwater lake,
and the Penrose Estate, run by the National Trust. with beautiful
wooded walks, is just a walk away.
The
towns of Helston, Falmouth and Penzance, and the city of Truro are
within easy driving distances.
All of our cottages have been carefully chosen for their very
high standard of accommodation and their positions in this wonderful
village, with the majority having sea or harbour views.
