The Eden Project
The Eden
Project is one of the UK's biggest Millennium projects. The site
is a clay pit the size of 30 football pitches at Bodelva, about
1½ miles from Cornish Eden Holidays. The 60 metre deep crater contains
thousands of important and beautiful plants from our own climate,
the humid tropics and the warm temperate regions of the world. The
tropical plants are housed in giant greenhouses called biomes. Each
biome is big enough to fit the equivalent of 30 cathedrals. A Visitor
Centre provides a gateway to the biomes. The landscaped grounds
arranged around a central lake and the remainder of this amazing
tourist attraction costing an estimated £84 million, opened in Spring
2001.
Here at
Cornish Eden Holidays, you will be on the doorstep of Eden -
close enough to walk and beat the queues!
