Situated deep in green Cornish meadows 2 minutes drive to the west of St Ives this former tin miners cottage was completely restored 2006. The refurbishment has been carried out to a very high standard.

Furnishings and fittings throughout are very high quality, the handmade kitchen has granite worktops and a range style cooker, it offers every kind of facility for the modern family. From the essential corkscrew through to peelers and juicers.

A separate utility area provides full washing and drying facilities and space for storing any outdoor gear, it also has a downstairs WC. Traditional slate floors on the ground floor and timber boards alongside natural stone upstairs, contrast beautifully with the exposed granite and soft painted plasterwork.

The lounge area features a widescreen LCD TV with freeview box and DVD Player, Bose sound system and wireless internet connection. Dining table seats 4, plus the option of a highchair.

The two bedrooms sleep 4, the master bedroom has a 5ft double bed and its en suite features a walk in Grohe drench shower. The second bedroom has twin 3ft beds and use of the main bathroom, where the freestanding rolltop bath perches beneath the exposed granite walls. A second large corner shower and third WC allows the cottage to easily accommodate both families and couples.

Both sets of French doors on the first floor open on to their own small balcony to fully reveal the sweeping views of the rolling moorland to Rosewall Hill and across the adjacent pasture land to the sea beyond.

Enjoy the late evening from the rear garden, it lies to the west elevation of the cottage, the perfect place to experience the spectacular sunsets. A barbecue and patio furniture are also provided.

A second patio to the front of the cottage captures the early sunshine and is the ideal spot for your morning tea or coffee.

The cottage offers a truly rural location and lies in the middle of the hamlet of Trowan which in its heyday of the mid eighteen hundreds was a thriving community. Today Trowan is a very private complex of twelve cottages situated on the cliff tops near to St Ives. The cottage has private parking at the entrance ( the main site is car free) and offers on site recycling facilities. St Ives is a twenty minute walk away across open fields and offers easy access to the coastal path.
