Cliff Cabin is a well appointed, comfortable and cosy chalet - enjoying the sun from sunrise to sunset.

The cabin is set in its own private, well kept, colourful garden - with decking, table and chairs just outside, ready for breakfast, morning coffee or watching the setting sun with a glass of wine - People love it.

It overlooks the Mounts Bay and the entrance to Porthlevens’ busy harbour and the world famous surfing reef, which produces one of the best tunnel waves in Europe.

Self-catering in Porthleven

The Cabin is situated at the start of the cliff path, that takes you to beautiful cliff walks, and to Breage Side rocks with it’s many crystal clear rock pools to explore. Then onto Rinsey Head with it’s breathtaking views and secluded beaches, over the headland to the popular beach of Praa Sands with it’s two miles of golden sand.

We are a Porthleven family who have catered for visitors for many years, and have always endeavoured to make everyone welcome making holidaying at Cliff Cabin happy and enjoyable.

Situated in it’s own well kept colourful enclosed garden the cabin itself, is warm and comfortable and close enough to the road for convenience but far enough away to be private and peaceful with off the road parking.

If you walk east around the harbour and along the unique shingle beach or cliff path you will come to the famous Loe Pool, the largest natural lake in Cornwall. The area is open free to the public and is a favourite spot for bird watchers and walkers alike.

Porthleven has a number of good restaurants, pubs, craft shops, galleries, fishing tackle shop, supermarket, fishmonger, chemist, post office, newsagents, laundrette, fish & chip shops and Chinese restaurant and takeaway.

Porthleven Harbour Entrance at Sunset

Situated in the centre of the Mounts Bay coast line, Porthleven is an ideal spot for sea angling from the rocks, beach or boat.

It is central for many beautiful beaches, towns and villages. Just 3 miles away is the market town of Helston, famous for the ancient Flora Dance held each year on the 8th May.

Flambards, the largest Theme Park in Cornwall which caters for all the family with everything from fair rides to a step back in time, to an old cobbled street with various shops and houses, all with original artefacts, and lots more.

There are many other holiday attractions; Trevarno Gardens just 3 miles up the road, The National Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, Birds of Paradise at Hayle, St Michaels Mount at Marazion and of course you can sit in your car in the viewing enclosure at RNAS Culdrose, and watch the helicopter pilots practicing, or just an hour away the Eden Project with its phenomenal biomes.
