Chy Bowjy is a delightful barn conversion situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in West Cornwall. It is owned and run by Judith Smalley who provides a very warm welcome and makes each guest feel special.

The barn complex has lovely open rural views across surrounding countryside and Mounts Bay to the southwest. The property is set in four acres of land comprising both formal gardens and paddocks. Whilst the location is extremely peaceful it is only three miles from Penzance and 5 miles from St. Ives.

Judith is an accomplished and gifted amateur chef with many accolades to her name including having been a regional finalist on Masterchef. Dinners are served in the beautiful dining room with ingredients being sourced locally and organic wherever possible. Meat is from local farms, fish from Newlyn, vegetables and herbs from the garden and eggs from the Chy Bowjy hens.

Two rooms are available for guests.

A charming double room with private bathroom is situated on the ground floor of the main house. The room is double aspect with views over the garden. Tea and coffee making facilities, colour tv, radio and hairdryer are provided. Guests can relax in the large upstairs drawing room where is log burning stove glows in the winter months.

The lovely courtyard cottage suite comprises a double bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and kitchen. There is a colour tv, SKY, video, radio/cassette and hairdryer. Guests staying in the suite have a choice of breakfast in the dining room or in the conservatory.

Prices (per room)

Double room, with private bathroom £65 per night for the room with breakfast.

Courtyard Cottage Suite £80 per night with breakfast. (There is surcharge of £10 per night for single occupancy)

The three course dinner is £30 per person (includes ½ bottle of wine per person)
The two course dinner (starter and main course or main course and dessert) is £25 per person (includes ½ bottle of wine per person)
Special diets can be catered for.
