Churchtown Farm Cottage is located in the quiet village of St. Clement a short distance from the center of Truro (about 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive) but a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is located on the river and in a protected area of "natural beauty".
The Cottage is a conversion from a former barn. The barn adjoins the main house and the former farm yard and gardens.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms with two single beds and a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and an open beamed living room with dining and sitting areas. The sofa in this area is of the sleeper variety and can pull out to make a comfortable double bed. The kitchen is small but all brand new and well equipped with ceramic hob, dishwasher, kettle, fridge, toaster, sink and microwave.
There is a patio area outside in the farm yard and the garden and patio of the main house are available if no one is in the main house.
St Clement and the Local Area
The cottage is located in the small village of St Clement. Churchtown Farm was the village farm for at least the last couple of hundred years and up until the early sixties was run as such.
The village is about a mile from the center of Truro - although you would never believe it, as the village is so secluded, so you have all the amenities of this cultural center.
The area is renowned for birds and wildlife and there are numerous country and river walks that emanate directly from the village itself.
The cottage is centrally located for all the other visitor activities
in Cornwall including, the museums, the cathedral, and the Eden Project,
as well as many beautiful gardens, beaches and National Trust properties.
