Built in 1908 as the home of a Dutch Packet
Ship Captain, Chelsea House has been extensively upgraded to incorporate
modern comforts whilst still retaining its original character and charm
and providing a quiet and homely atmosphere.
Donna and Tony Garbett are welcoming hosts
who enjoy caring for their guests in their home and will be delighted
to assist in planning your stay in Cornwall. Of particular interest is
gardening and they are past winners of the 'Britain in Bloom' competitions.
All rooms are en-suite with a very high standard
of furnishings, comfort and facilities. We have been awarded
4 STARS by the English Tourism Council, identified by potential
guests as being really important to them. The awards reflect the quality
of comfort and cleanliness you will find in bedrooms and bathrooms as
well as the quality of service you will enjoy throughout your stay
ACCOMMODATION
There are
8 rooms to let all with en-suite facilities. Most of our rooms
enjoy spectacular sea views with two double rooms having their own south-facing
balcony.
All rooms are decorated to a very high standard
and furnished with colour television, central heating, tea and coffee-making
facilities and hairdryers in the bedrooms. Enjoy our acclaimed and extensive
breakfast menu. Chelsea House is non-smoking.
LOCATION
Falmouth is the ideal base for your Cornish
holiday with one of the most charming and interesting towns in Cornwall.
There are so many things to see and do. We are only a five minute walk
from Falmouths unspoilt, safe and sandy Gyllyngvase beach. The National
Maritime Museum Cornwall and Pendennis Castle are less than a 10 minute
walk.
Chelsea House is ideally located for visiting
the many beautiful gardens in Cornwall including the Eden project and
the many local National Trust properties.
