Silver Award
In the far west of Cornwall, four miles west of Penzance
and nine miles from Lands End, lies the lovely wooded valley of Lamorna
leading to the magical and much painted Lamorna Cove.
Above the valley, on the road leading to the picturesque
fishing village of Mousehole, stands the tiny rural hamlet of Castallack.
This pretty hamlet is named after the remains of a prehistoric settlement
on our land.

LOCAL AREA
The peace and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside
is intoxicating. This peninsula of Lands End is steeped in Celtic history
and has many delightful sandy beaches, prehistoric sites, coves and rugged
coastal footpaths waiting to be explored.
The South West coastal path, favoured by walkers, is close
by, as is the local pub 'The Lamorna Wink', an easy downhill stroll of
ten minutes. About half a mile further along, Lamorna Cove opens out in
front of you, stunning and dramatic in any weather. It is famous for inspiring
many artists both past and present.
Leaving the farm in the other direction, you can walk
one and a half miles through delightful countryside to the fishing village
of Mousehole with its quaint narrow streets, cafés, pubs and seafood restaurants.
Close to us are three golf courses, surfing and windsurfing beaches, sea,
coarse or fly fishing, sailing in Mounts Bay (Penzance) or Falmouth, attractions
to suit all ages, and beautiful gardens which flourish due to our unique
climate.
