Bowood Park
sleeps 4 - 9 people
A superb, spacious house that sleeps 4-9
people. Set in an enviable position right in the heart of North Cornwall,
close to some of the most beautiful beaches, and countryside of our unique
county
The house comprises of a spacious hall that leads to a
kitchen fully equipped including dishwasher, washing machine, hob, oven,
and microwave. It is extremely large and the dining end allows for group
meals. The separate dining room with additional table leads onto the lounge
with large plasma TV, open fireplace and conservatory. Enjoy a glass of
wine here whilst watching the golfing world pass by. Doors lead to a patio
area with a bar-b-que and garden furniture and seating.The stairs lead
to a galleried landing furnished with a further comfortable suite looking
over the double height conservatory giving marvellous views of the gardens,
golf course and surrounding countryside.
There are four large
bedrooms, two en-suite, one shower, one bath with a further family
bathroom containing bath and large walk in tiled shower. The bedrooms
are as follows: 1 triple, 1 double and 2 twins. Outside are large
gardens to both front and back of the house and there is ample
parking for at least three cars. The property is set in a quiet area reached by a private road.
3 Bowood Park sits adjacent to Bowood Park Golf Course,
one of the south west's premier golf courses. The area is steeped
in history, with Bowood Park once forming a part of the 13th century deer
park owned by Edward Prince of Wales formerly known as The Black Prince.
Nearby beaches include Trebarwith
Strand, Widemouth Bay and Bude
to the north with the surfers paradise Polzeath,
as well as hidden secrets such as Tregirls
and Mother Iveys to the south.
There is nowhere in the world more beautiful than Rock
with it's white paradise sands. The adjoining beach of Daymer
Bay with the tidal estuary, safe bathing and sand dunes to explore
mean it's ideal for families. Take a short stroll from here across
St. Enodoc and visit the famous church unearthed from the sands,
Sir John Betjeman's final resting
place. The area is surrounded by fabulous coastal paths, leading both
north and south. The exquisite Camel
Trail (a former railway line) is a safe cycle to Padstow via Wadebridge
and /or Bodmin. The pretty fishing villages of Padstow,
Port Isaac or Boscastle
are also a must to visit. Tintagel
with the legendary King Arthurs Castle is just 15 mins drive away.
Bodmin Moor with
it's wild ponies, encompasses two of the highest points in Cornwall of
Brown Willy and Roughtor and are just a few minutes away. The area
is ideal for walking and hiking. Within an easy distance are attractions
such as Crealy Adventure Park, Eden,
the beautiful cathedral city of Truro
and Lanhydrock House, one of
the National Trusts finest Victorian houses.
There are plenty of dining establishments nearby to suit
every need, from waterside bistros and restaurants to moorland award winning
country pubs.
Local activities include surfing, fishing, boat trips,
horse riding, walking, hiking, tennis, wind surfing, sailing, waterskiing,
cycling as well as golf. Reduced rate green fees for Bowood have been
negotiated for our guests.
