There are four large bedrooms, two en-suite, one shower, one bath with a further family bathroom containing bath and large walk in tiled shower. The bedrooms are as follows: 1 triple, 1 double and 2 twins. Outside are large gardens to both front and back of the house and there is ample parking for at least three cars. The property is set in a quiet area reached by a private road. 3 Bowood Park sits adjacent to Bowood Park Golf Course, one of the south west's premier golf courses. The area is steeped in history, with Bowood Park once forming a part of the 13th century deer park owned by Edward Prince of Wales formerly known as The Black Prince. Nearby beaches include Trebarwith Strand, Widemouth Bay and Bude to the north with the surfers paradise Polzeath, as well as hidden secrets such as Tregirls and Mother Iveys to the south. There is nowhere in the world more beautiful than Rock with it's white paradise sands. The adjoining beach of Daymer Bay with the tidal estuary, safe bathing and sand dunes to explore mean it's ideal for families. Take a short stroll from here across St. Enodoc and visit the famous church unearthed from the sands, Sir John Betjeman's final resting place. The area is surrounded by fabulous coastal paths, leading both north and south. The exquisite Camel Trail (a former railway line) is a safe cycle to Padstow via Wadebridge and /or Bodmin. The pretty fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac or Boscastle are also a must to visit. Tintagel with the legendary King Arthurs Castle is just 15 mins drive away. Bodmin Moor with it's wild ponies, encompasses two of the highest points in Cornwall of Brown Willy and Roughtor and are just a few minutes away. The area is ideal for walking and hiking. Within an easy distance are attractions such as Crealy Adventure Park, Eden, the beautiful cathedral city of Truro and Lanhydrock House, one of the National Trusts finest Victorian houses. There are plenty of dining establishments nearby to suit every need, from waterside bistros and restaurants to moorland award winning country pubs. Local activities include surfing, fishing, boat trips, horse riding, walking, hiking, tennis, wind surfing, sailing, waterskiing, cycling as well as golf. Reduced rate green fees for Bowood have been negotiated for our guests. |
