Bolenna Court's quiet setting fronted
by parkland and tennis courts at the foot of the tranquil Perrancombe valley makes
it an ideal location for relaxing holidays and short breaks.
Its central location in Cornwall and proximity to miles of golden sandy beaches
and to the North Cornwall Coastal path make it an ideal touring or walking centre. Bolenna
Court, open all year round has ample safe private parking. Bolenna offers an excellent
home cooked breakfast with a vegetarian option. Breakfasts are always individually
prepared to order. Local Area and Activities
Bolenna Court is well placed as a base from which to explore the North Cornish
Coastal path from Padstow to St Ives. This section has spectacular cliffs, beaches
and quiet picturesque coves. If you want exercise, there
are lawn tennis courts and hard courts available. The Perranporth beach is good
for swimming and well known by surfers, the beach is patrolled and has excellent
facilities. The "Watering Hole" on the beach is well known
locally as an all year round beach bar and is an excellent place from which to
watch the sun sink into the sea. It has some excellent local ales and wine, as
well as coffee and food and often provides live music in the evening. Perranporth
also has some excellent restaurants and at Bolenna Court we maintain a book of
eating places, recommended by our guests, for you to try and to add to. Several
of these restaurants are within walking distance, 5 - 10 minutes, and most of
the others are within 5 miles, just in case you feel like venturing a little further
afield in the evening. Local activities include Gliding, Horse
riding, Fishing, Golf, and Bowls. Bolenna's central location
is ideal as a base for touring. History and legend can be savoured at Tintagel,
where the drama of the jagged cliff-top scenery is enhanced by King Arthur's Castle.
You may want to explore Cornish harbours, Boscastle, Port Isaac, Newquay, Porthleven,
Mousehole, Mevagissey are all worth a visit. At Falmouth and St Mawes there is
yachting or at Padstow or Newlyn you will see bustling fishing harbours, where
you can take a boat trip or go shark fishing. The Lizard
Peninsular with its spectacular coastline, prehistoric stone circle and standing
stones is a short drive to the South West. The Roseland Peninsular and the Helford
Passage with beautiful lanes and wonderful scenery and the Fal with its little
Creeks and pretty villages are just to the South and East. An interesting tin
mining site, at the blue hills is nearby. The Minack open air theatre is only
an hour away. Magnificent Gardens, Glendurgan, The Eden Project,
Heligan, Lanhydrock, Pencarrow, Trebah, Trelissick, Trerice and Trevarno are all
easily accessible. |
