This charming Grade II listed traditional stone and slate cottage is situated in the popular village of St Mabyn within easy reach of North Cornwall's famous visitor attractions.

The cottage has recently been completely restored with oil-fired central heating, new bathroom fittings, bedrooms, kitchen and appliances Sleeping up to 6 persons in 3 double bedrooms with private enclosed gardens to the rear.

Barn Parc Cottage is ideal for families with young children, golfers, walkers, water sport enthusiasts and anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. If all you want to do is chill out, the village pub and well-stocked shop are just a couple of minutes walk down the road!

Self-catering Accommodation

Bedrooms - 3 double bedrooms with quality zip and link beds which can be arranged as 3' twins or 6' doubles as required. The beds are all 6'6'' long. Please advise us of your requirements at the time of booking. Cot available on request - for baby health and safety, please supply your own cot mattress and linens.

Bathroom - Family bathroom with over head shower, hand basin and WC.

Kitchen - Electric cooker with halogen hob and fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, kettle.

Utility room - Automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

Dining room - Pine dining table and chairs seats up to 8. High chair available on request.

Sitting room - Split level with 2 x 3 seater comfy sofas, FreeSat TV, DVD player, HiFi. Card table and two fireside captains' chairs.

A selection of board games, playing cards, chess, backgammon, cribbage plus a varied library are provided for your enjoyment during your stay.

Cleaning Service- Included in the price: bed linen, towels, beach towels and final cleaning.

Accessibility - Bedroom 3 is downstairs with level access to and from the garden entrance and the downstairs bathroom and kitchen. There is a step up from the kitchen to the sitting room which has a split level with one step. Please contact me if any further information is required.

Outside - The rear garden is enclosed with a lockable side gate making it suitable for young children, storage of bicycles, surf boards etc. There is a lawn and slate paved patio area with BBQ and furniture. The Utility room is also in the garden making it ideal for muddy boots and wet suits.

St Mabyn
St Mabyn Inn - A few minutes walk away, the Inn is child-friendly and serves bar meals and lunches and dinners in its dining room. It has a good range of real ales plus a pool table and garden.
Village Store - 2 minutes walk - well-stocked and open every day selling fresh fruit and veg, groceries, newspapers, fresh bread etc.
Walking - The area around the village abounds with public footpaths.
St Mabena - The 15th century church is located in the heart of the village a short walk away.

Beaches
North Cornwall is renowned for its sandy beaches, perfect for surfing, bathing or just taking a stroll. Here are some suggestions.
Polzeath - surfing and bathing - 10 miles
Daymer Bay- windsurfing and walking - 9 miles
Constantine Bay - walking - 14 miles
Rock - bathing and walking - 9 miles
Port Quinn - a lovely place to swim from the rocks when the tide is high - 10 miles.

Visits
Port IsaacPadstow - as well known for the Stein eateries as for its fishing harbour. If you want to eat in his Seafood Restaurant or his St Petroc Bistro be sure to book in advance - 12 miles
Lost Gardens of Heligan - stunning subtropical gardens and beautifully restored walled kitchen garden - 23 miles
Port Isaac - Quaint fishing port featured in TV's Doc Martin - good for food and buying fresh fish and seafood to take home - 7 miles
The Eden Project - Stunning Biomes and gardens dedicated to world flora -
20 miles
Tintagel - Although the town has become something of an Arthurian theme park, the English Heritage site of the ruined castle set on a promontory above the sea is well worth a visit - 14 miles - and you can continue on to
Boscastle - and see how this pretty seaside village has rebuilt itself following the disastrous flood.
Lanhydrock - National Trust late Victorian country house with extensive servants quarters and wooded estate - 9 miles
Camel Trail - Hire bicycles from Wadebridge (4 miles) or Bodmin
( 7 miles) and take an easy ride along the former Bodmin to Padstow railway line following the course of the Camel River. Children's bikes, tow-along buggies and child seats can also be hired.
