The holiday accommodation is located on Tregony Hill, overlooking the village of Mevagissey. The outside space includes a lawned area and a private patio area suitable for barbeques and eating out.

The property enjoys sun from all directions during the day and well into the evening, with far reaching views to the countryside around.

Avonhurst can be reached by car, without driving through the narrow streets of the village. However, trips to the village can easily be made by car, with pay and display parking or on the quay if needed.

HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION

• On the ground floor, there are three bedrooms.
  Bedroom one is a double with a colour t.v. and room for a cot if required.
  Bedroom two is a double with an extra single bed.
  Bedroom three is a twin bedded room.
• All have easy access to a shower room with toilet and a separate bathroom with bath, shower enclosure and toilet.
• The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher. There is a separate dining room walk-through from the kitchen.
• Outside in the utility room, you will find the washing machine and extra freezer space. Also, an outside toilet.
• There is also a large bedroom on a lower ground floor with two further beds and an extra sitting/play area, reached by enclosed stairs from the main floor.
• On the top floor there is a lounge with dormer window which looks out over far reaching views of the Mevagissey bay and beyond. There is a colour television with a digibox, DVD player and video player.
  

MEVAGISSEY

The harbour is approximately a 5 minute walk away, where fishing boats are moored in both inner and outer harbours. There are many local restaurants and attractions of interest. Fishing has always been important here and was responsible for the growth of the town from a tiny hamlet in the 16th Century, to the village which we see today. The old centre consists of very narrow, picturesque streets with a wide choice of places to eat and shop.

During the summer months you can enjoy a trip on a boat around the bay, or try sea angling. A ferry also runs several times a day from Mevagissey to Fowey.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan, one of the best loved attractions in Cornwall, is only two miles away by car - and closer by foot or cycle path. The Eden Project is also not far - 9 miles from Mevagissey.

Places of interest in Mevagissey include the Mevagissey Museum, World of Model Railways, Mevagissey Harbour Aquarium and the Old Pilchard Cellars.

Nearby there is the 15th Century Church at Gorran, Polmassick Vineyard, Caerhays Castle, Dodman Point, also many sandy beaches.

The coastal footpath is easily accessible either from the harbour or from a public footpath near the house which leads to Portmellon. There are several
inland footpaths which could provide circular walks, which could be extended by using the local bus network.

Also available is a Seventeenth Century farmhouse wing near Caerhays Castle,
in a quiet country location, five minutes drive from beaches, bordering the Roseland Peninsula.
