Welcome to the Aviary Court Country Hotel

Aviary Court is a delightful six bedroom hotel. Although fairly small, you can expect quality service and personal attention from the Studley family.

The hotel is situated five minutes drive from the A30 and five minutes drive from the North coast harbour village of  Portreath. Tucked away in a quiet woodside location, parts of the house date back some 300 years being the former home of James Tangye, mining engineer. Guests are encouraged to stroll around and use the 2.25 acres of well tended gardens.

There is a twenty minute bridleway walk through the woods to Portreath village and its working harbour and popular sandy surfing beach.

En-suite Accommodation

All the bedrooms are spacious and individually decorated to a high standard with soft carpets, and easy chairs and all have remote control televisions.

Each room has ensuites with bath & shower/WC (except one which has shower/WC),  quality towels, tea/coffee making tray, direct dial telephone, radio alarm, fresh fruit, mineral water and biscuits daily.

All rooms have views over the gardens.

We ask guests not to smoke in the bedrooms, lounge and dining room.

There is a bar/lounge  and a garden room in which guests can choose to relax. You can enjoy a drink with friends and make new acquaintances.

Elsie & Bernice prepare the meals and guests are asked to book by 4pm if an evening meal is required.  The meal is a fixed price (4 courses) and has choices on each course.  We serve dinner at 7pm only.  Good, honest home cooking entices many to try the evening meals which are generous and served with produce sourced locally if possible with a good selection of freshly cooked vegetables.  Make sure you have enough room for the delicious homemade desserts.

Coffee is served in the lounge, or on the terrace in summer, where you are welcome to relax the evening away. We are licenced and can provide a choice of wine and drinks from the bar for your enjoyment.
