The coast is in close proximity and seals, basking sharks, Cornish choughs, hoopoes and rare indigenous fauna and flora are seen here.
The Lizard Peninsula is a haven for interesting places to visit especially the picturesque fishing villages of Cadgwith Cove, Coverack, Mullion Cove and Porthleven. The famous Kynance Cove, associated with the Poldark TV series, is within 30 minutes pleasant walk as is Housel Bay and Church Cove.
Further afield famous and worthy places to visit are National Trust Properties such as Glendurgan and Trellisick, St Ives, Falmouth, Truro, Penzance and Lands End. Well known attractions like Flambards, The Minack Theatre, St Michael's Mount, National Maritime Museum, The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are possible in a day trip.
Closer to the Lizard are Goonhilly Earth Satellite Station, The National Seal Sanctuary, Helford River and the local Lizard Lighthouse Museum. Nearby at Mullion Cove is the famous Trenance Chocolate factory, shop and cafe together with the Honey Cosmetic Company and shop, and other craft outlets.
