The apartments sleep 5 to 6 people and all have the benefit of heating for the cooler times of the year. They are furnished and equipped to 3 & 4 Star ratings under the ETC (English Tourism Council) National Quality Assurance Standards scheme. Beaches - Trevone has the advantage of two very contrasting beaches. One is a delightful sandy beach, popular with surfers and swimmers, and patrolled by lifeguards from May to September to ensure a safe bathing environment. The other is a wide rocky beach, very popular with youngsters, who love to explore its rocky pools. On this beach there is a semi natural swimming pool (one short side has a man made wall) which is submerged at high tide providing a daily refill of fresh sea water. There are six more sandy beaches within easy reach of Trevone Bay. Walks - The southerly walk from Trevone is much more on the level, but the cliffs coves and coastal scenery are still magnificent. The coastal footpath is particularly beautiful in the early summer when the cliff tops and hedgerows are fringed with wild flowers like Buttercups, Seapinks, Ladies slippers and Sea Heather... Sports - A wide variety of sporting and leisure activities are available in the area. The Camel estuary is a great place for dinghy sailing, water skiing and windsurfing and its fascinating to watch all this buzz of activity at high tide on a fine day. There are two very fine championship golf courses near by, Trevose Golf and Country Club, which has an 18 hole golf course and two further 9 hole courses; and St. Enodoc, a wonderful links course, with some stunning views overlooking Padstow Estuary. Out of season breaks - Cornwall enjoys a mild climate and even in the depths of winter rarely do we see a frost along our coastline, it is no wonder then that many people choose to come and experience Cornwall out of the main season. Spring brings an abundance of colour to the coastal paths and along the winding lanes and hedgerows. Visiting wild life can be seen along the shores and estuaries resting during their migration. Autumn sunsets over the ocean are a favourite with photographers and walkers. Travelling by car in Cornwall, out of season is much easier, the children are in school and access to the areas major attractions such as the Eden Project or The Lost Gardens of Heligan is a lot calmer without the queues. Cornwall is a favourite short break destination, with travel time by car from London and the West Midlands is as little as four hours, Bristol and the west part M4 corridor is around two hours.
