The Ancient Shipbrokers offers a haven of tranquillity nestling between the sea and the rolling agricultural fields towards the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.

The Ancient Shipbrokers sits in the centre of the lovely historic village of Pentewan over looking the beautiful fresh water harbour on one side and one of the best sandy beaches in Cornwall on the other.

Accommodation

The Pink Room - Double En-Suite Bedroom

Our "Pink Room" has breathtaking views from double aspect windows of the harbour, beach and sea. Watch wind- surfers, yachts, kites and leisure vessels from the comfort of this pretty room. The best night’s sleep ever is yours in the genuine antique brass bed. Be transported to a romantic era by the solid wooden antique furniture and pure cotton furnishings.

The en-suite shower room is fully tiled with toilet, washbasin and jet powered 10.5kw shower unit supplying you with plenty of hot water.

On tranquil summer evenings, the sound of the waves gently breaking on the sand can easily be heard. Pounding waves break the silence during winter storms when you can smell the salt in the air from the bedroom windows.

Also included is a digital colour television with VCR, clock radio with CD player, tissues, kettle, corkscrew and wine glasses. We will chill wines for you if requested. FREE WIFI

The Pink room is £30 - £35 per person per night. Long stays receive a small concession. Surcharge of £5 per night for one night stays or £6.50 per night for single occupancy.

The Blue Room - Twin or Queen En-Suite Bedroom

Our "Blue Room" is spacious and can be used either as a twin room with two 3ft beds or we can put them together for you to make a luzuriosly large Queen sized bed.

It has wide sweeping views of the beach , sea and the beautiful fields rolling towards Heligan Gardens. Overlooking the boatyard and fresh water harbour you will be charmed by swans, ducks and herons flying past and fishermen preparing for nightime fishing on the beach.This tranquil and bright room has solid wooden furniture, attractive traditional antique mirrors and classic soft furnishings which welcome you in.

For families who wish to occupy both rooms the total cost per night would be £110 - £125 depending on the age of the children. There is no additional charge for babies, cots or high chairs.

The Cream Room - Twin or Queen En-Suite Bedroom

The "Cream Room" faces East and overlooks the village harbour and sea. Wake up to the sun rising over the waves and cascading daylight through your windows. Watch the fishing boats at sea and swans swimming on the harbour from your bedside, if you are here in Spring or early Summer you will see their Signets falling in behind.

This room can be arranged as a Queen bed or two 3 ft twin beds. There is plenty of room for a child's cot or single bed so that it can also be used as a family room.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in our cosy dining room with bay windows looking out over Pentewan Bay and Harbour.

We provide a traditional breakfast with bacon, eggs, pork or vegetarian sausages, mushrooms and fresh grilled tomatoes. If you prefer something lighter and simpler we can provide that too. Continental breakfasts of cheese, cold meats and croissants can be ordered in advance. Fresh fruit, juice and yoghurts are always available.

All our breakfasts are cooked especially for each serving to make sure they are piping hot and fresh for all our guests. We use local free range eggs, with organic honey and cereals and happily cater for vegetarians. Just let us know in advance. Please notify us if you have any particular dietary requirement. A traditional wooden high chair is provided for young children.
