Adventure Cornwall
Self catering cottages near the River Fowey

Welcome to the Red and Blue Houses, self catering cottages at Lombard Farm.

Set in some of the most beautiful countryside in Cornwall, close to Fowey, the south coast beaches and the coast path. Lombard Farm offers two contemporary designed self catering holiday cottages for families and individuals who want something special.

The Red House sleeps up to six + cot in two bedrooms and a gallery room and the Blue House sleeps up to six + cot in three bedrooms. Both houses offer a warm, quiet and welcoming place to enjoy a summer holiday or winter break.

The houses have lovely views over farmland to the River Fowey and have an open plan, contemporary feel, with high ceilings, exposed beams, wood-burning stoves and the latest in underfloor heating. English oak is used extensively and the barns have large fully equipped kitchens.

Both houses have large patios with seating, barbecues, a wonderful wooden hot tub and access to over five acres of farmland, the Red House also has a large garden. There is plenty of parking available at Lombard Farm which is close to the town of Fowey.

New for 2008; Whilst staying at Lombard Farm we will minimise your carbon dioxide emissions and are working towards a carbon neutral holiday, to help achieve this we will use at least 20% of the cost of your holiday to install new equipment and technologies that will move us towards being a carbon neutral holiday destination.

Short breaks are available from £190 or from £350 to £1,450 for a week, all inclusive and we are open all year round.

Adventure Cornwall activities

We can also offer your family or small group the option of tailor-made adventure activity days led by fully qualified and insured guides. We take you paddling on the river Fowey in a Canadian canoe, where you can drift with the tide, then sit on a deserted beach looking out to sea or we guide you into the beautiful and wild interior of Dartmoor or even lead you up a rock face high on Bodmin Moor. The choice is yours and we will always tailor the programme to fit your aspirations and ability

Fowey and the South Coast

Lombard Farm is only two miles from the beautiful south coast beaches, a twenty minute drive to the famous Eden Project and a pleasant half hour walk through fields, along the river and over the ferry, or a five minute drive, to the historic town of Fowey, with its excellent restaurants, pubs and shops.

The river is a haven for people who like the water, with excellent canoeing, sailing or just mucking about near or on the water. The farm is in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with many classic walks from the front door through National Trust land or along the Coast Path.

It is the perfect place to enjoy many different walks all year round without having to use the car!

The Yurt

If you want to try something different, we have a traditional Mongolian yurt at Lombard Farm, protected by mature trees and overlooks a large meadow.
