You'll find Acorn Caravan tucked away down a secluded and private country lane at Darracott Farm.  There is a large garden and a lovely drive the children can safely use for riding their bikes and scooters.  The only traffic is the milk tanker!  The farm is a working dairy farm with milking cows & calves.  Come and see how the "White Stuff" is produced.

The farm is next to the Tamar Lakes Water Park, which offers a range of activities including windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, trout and coarse fishing.

There is also a play area and restaurant at the Tamar Lakes.  Kilkhampton, the nearest village has a magnificent church, post office, bakery, traditional butchers, village stores, fish & chip shop and two pubs serving food.  There is a heated swimming pool at Bude and a cinema on the A39 south of Bude.

We are just over 6 miles from Bude and 10 minutes from the beautiful Cornish coastline.  There are 6 different beaches surrounding Bude from Duckpool in the north to Widemouth in the south.  Crooklets Beach is renowned amongst surfers and Summerleaze Beach perfect for the family.  There are many other places to discover which are all within easy driving distance including the picturesque villages of Clovelly, Hartland, Tintagel and Boscastle.  Beautiful gardens and National Trust properties include Lanhydrock, Rosemoor, Pencarrow and The Eden Project.

Booking Procedure

1. Please call or email to check availability of dates required.

2. We will hold a telephone booking for four days and require a 25 % deposit.

3. When we receive your completed booking form you will be sent a Confirmation of Booking. Once the booking is confirmed you will be responsible for the balance of the cost of the holiday, therefore HOLIDAY CANCELLATION INSURANCE is recommended.

4. The balance will be due 3 weeks before the start of the holiday.

5. Your accommodation will be ready by 2.00 p.m. on the Saturday afternoon of arrival and departure must be by 10.00 am on the Saturday morning of departure.
